Mike and Elly's Wedding

Errrrrrrr, A big congrats to Mike and Elly on their wedding yesterday!
The fact thhat most of my photos came out blurred proved once again that I was never meant to be a wedding photographer - or that I need a new camera!

The church, out in Chobham in Surrey. Lucky there was a geocache hidden at the church to keep me busy while we waited. Mike's brother is a semi-retired geocacher, Hectic, so he was glad to do a cache again after his long hiatus!

Fatty Mike and Dean - or is that Snake? err, no maybe its Mr Cheese. Wait, I think its Lamb. Err, hang on, its Bunny. Mike and his friends all have strange nicknames, and I get awfully confused about who is who! Mike used to be called Cat Piss for many a year! HAHAHA!

Elly, the blushing bride, also known as Popo.

Mr and Mrs Clark

Saying farewell in their rather flash Merc.

I got to sit at the table with Mike's insane family. Here we see his sisters doing their best Indian dancing. Heather on the right is driving through Africa back to Cape Town, leaving tomorrow. They hope to get there in 4 months.
Carolyn on the left is the restaurant manager at Morgenhof, where Boet and Lucy got married, so maybe she was working at Boets wedding!

Mike entertains the kids in his Sumo outfit!

More Random Stuff

Here are some more mixed photos taken over the last year.

Canadian Totem pole at Virginia Water, one of the finest botanical gardens I have been to. The highlight was definately the Californian Redwood. So huge, and yet so soft and cuddly! Too big to take a photo of though!

Some Roman ruins at Virginia Water.

I met up with this chap who has a semi-hiking club, so we went off strolling for the day to see Wind in the Willow country, and hopefully spot Ratty and Mr Toad. This was the only photo I could get all day, as after this we spent the rest of the time walking in what was described as "the heavist rain I have ever walked in". And this coming from a regulalr British hiker!

Chrurch ruins in Basingstoke.

Mr Warren's birthday party in Basingstoke, for a lovely braai. For those who don't know Mr Warren, that cat is a life size replica of the tatoo he has over his stomache!

For those who aren't very clued up on their biology, these beautiful specimens are called "flowers".

At the Science Museum - Those magnificent men in their flying machines, they went up-diddy-up-up, they went down-diddy-own-down!

Zsuzsi gets run over by a landing plane.

The Albert Memorial in Hyde Park.

Albert always was a shining light in the area!

The Royal Albert Hall

Don't be fooled, thats not the London Eye. In Windsor for some geocaching. Nice little town!

Windsor Castle. I was well amazed at how massive and impressive it is!

Wayne is so hungry he can't wait for his burger to be cooked!

I loved this reddish roof amongst the green

Random Stuff

Here are a bunch of random photos taken over the last year that I never got round to blogging.

What a cute horse! Out on a country pub stroll with Mike and Elly.

Wooah, you have to watch out for the deranged dogs in the area!

Mike and Elly - They are getting married next weekend.

At the Natural history museum in Oxford. A crystal that glows in the dark.

Pretty buttterflies.

Some people are scared of snakes. Some are scared of skeletons. What could be worse than a cobra skeleton poised to strike!

Boat on Rathin Island.

Changing of the guard near Buckingham Palace.

Interesting pub decor while walking along the sandy banks of the Thames. As far as I recall, this is a genuine old hangmans galley - or whatever the word is??

The Dylan Thomas tree. Thomas used to be an architect, and helped build King's Cross. They had to exhume many graves to build it, so Thomas piled all the tombstones against this tree in circles. The tree has now grown over the stones and they are all part of the roots.

This mausoleum (I forget whose) is what the famous london phone booths were modelled after! See the distinctive curve of the roof.
