Walking in the Winter Wonderland

We had the heaviest snow in 20 years last week, and what fun it was! Besides taking 2.5 hours to get home of course! But as no one could get to the office for 2 days, I got to work from home, which was great.
After night shift I stayed up most of the day strolling in the common with Colleen and Steve, and had a fantastic time. Everything was so crisp and white and clean!

Carmen with the fantastic snowman she made in our backyard. I put in a bit of help gathering the snow, but she was the expert builder.

Colleen looks very fetching in her furry number.

Colleen and I relax on a snow sofa.

Dalmations look good in the snow!

Steve, Colleen and Thomas. The pram could not make it in the snow, so he had to be carried.

Young Blue Eyes

Kingsmere

Me and a charming fellow I met on the common.

Everyone was bunking work and school, and getting some sledding done. There was all sorts of interesting makeshift sleds, including carpets, tea trays baking dishes, plastic bags and fridge doors. I had to use my butt. I was also interviewed for German TV!

Me, Colleen and Thomas

This was a great dog. As he played, his long hair would gather snow and get covered in snowballs on his legs and ears. A very stylist Rasta sort of look!

Nice tree

A collection of snowmen

Wimbledon Windmill

I was trying to recreate a Bev Doolittle scene in the snow and while the trees arent quite right, this dog reminded me of her painting, "A Woodland Encounter". Wish it was a fox though.
