Cape Town - chilling out

I got back from South Africa nearly a month ago, but only looked at the photos this week!

I was not in a big photo taking mood, so there won't be many posts. I started off the trip with 3 days in JHB visiting Barry and Claudia, and didn't even take one photo. It was great to see them again though, as well as meet Claudia's delightful brother, who took us all to Gold Reef City for the day, and a short caching trip with Tony.

Then off to Cape Town, for  some more relaxing and the occasional stroll.

Mom and I discovered this lovely secuded beach between Hout Bay and Camps Bay. Nice secluded spot!

 Tired mr seal

This is a new memorial to all the rhinos poached this year. It shows the number of  rhinos killed each year for the last 10 years - disturbing figures, bloody poachers!

Looking at the rhino through the barrel. Not sure if thats the best way to  promote anti-poaching, but its the only way to see the rhino correctly, as its made up of different bits as per the pic below, and lines up correctly when seen from here.

 Fabulous poodle bench!

A seagull reigns supreme over his seagull bench!

Another new sculpture on Sea Point promenade

Dad and Kobus try to not be in the photos, but I got them!

Dad's favourite site from his balcony, and considering these paragliders come down in a steady stream, he is often a very happy man!

Some caching at the waterfront with Mandela and Tutu
