Titisee - Black Forest

In Germany I spent 3 days in Titisee. a lovely little village on a lake. At first I stayed slightly away from the lake in a connected but different down. I had booked into a youth hostel in order to meet some travellers, but it seems Germans have a different idea of what a youth hostel is to the rest of the world, as it was full of screaming school kids.
So after a thoroughly unpleasant night there, I was delighted to leave and go find a bed and breakfast by the lake, and I found a lovely spot run by a charming chap, and so enjoyed the rest of the stay.

The area was filled with lovely rolling green meadowy hills, it did feel like something from the Sound of Music.

On a hike I spotted this really cool Braai pit, with a handle to winch the grid up and down into the "pit" to control the heat - nice one!

Hmm, that looks like a top quality disco!

After checking into my new place by the lake, I went for a pedalo on the lake, nothing like bobbing on the waters to help relax from the stressful night before.
My B&B also had bikes to borrow, so I went for a ride around the lake. I think the below is my favourite pic from the trip, what an idyllic scene.

Cute pac-man ghost seen in a shop

 Fountain ornaments

They have some funky fire hydrants in the area!

To escape a bit of the rain, I thought I would go to Badeparadies, and what a lovely place it is. A massive heated pool in a palm tree filled greenhouse. (And no, I did not take these photos)
The pool had jacuzzi sections, and you could lounge by the bar in the pool drinking coctails. There was also a section with lots of super tubes to ride, salty floating pools, heavy waterfall showers, and a range of saunas to choose from - although I got kicked out of the sauna, as my travel towel was not big and luxurious enough for their liking!

That heated pool looks like the bomb.
