Croatia - Korcula

Well, its time for a break from the Moroccan photos, and continue on with the Croatian ones. As you recall, I was last in Dubrovnik. After that it was off to Korcula, birthplace of Marco Polo.

En route we stopped here for a swim. As you entered the water from the beach, the ground was covered with small rocks, and among the rocks were plenty of sea urchins. The locals have thus cleared a thin path going out to sea so you don't get spiked by the urchins. You can see here everyone heading out in the safe line - except one chap who did venture to the side and got spikes in his foot!

Approaching Korcula

Korcula has a briliant bar at the top of the building below. You have to climb up a stepladder through a trapdoor in the roof, ands the drinks get hauled up by a pulley.

Sunset from the bar.

At the bar I met my friends from the hostel in Split and the oppostion boats. They had a rule that annyone who says the word "mine" has to do 10 pushups or sits up. Carzy buffoons! Its particularly amusing when the waiter brings a drink and asks whos is this!
Here we see Dena in action!

The twins do some sit ups - dang, why wasn't I on that boat!

View over the city

A-hem, the local church has some fairly dodgy looking statues!
