We popped into Milan for a few hours before going home.

Milan Duomo is quite spectacular, one of the finest I have seen!

One of the doors of the duomo is quite incredible, made up of many of these biblical scenes, small carvings with amazing detail! As you can see, people like to kiss and rub Jesus's knee, although I am not sure why the calf of the guy whipping Jesus gets more kissing, well formed as it may be!
