Sigiriya - below

 Sigiriya is one of the main tourist and cultural highlights of Sri Lanka. Also known as Lion Rock, it is a bit like Uluru in its structure. It was the Capital in the 5th century, and the Royal Palace was built on top of the rock - quite a tricky business getting up there in those days I am sure!

 The Bunyan trees are incredibly impressive!

 We found a clutch of super cute puppies at the bottom - dogs tend to be all over the place in Sri Lanka, but these win the prize as the cutest!
