Amsterdam

2 days of exploring around Amsterdam with the Boet. No particularly exciting tales to tell, just lots of yummy bitte balle, tasty beer (even for me), and strolling around. It seems that Hero drinks are not as common as they used to be, and there was no Pisang Ambon in sight.

We caught the overnight ferry over, and we were well pleased with the luxurious accomodation. Just look at Boet, sprawled out on his double bed next to his giant porthole window!

Boet gets ready for the sprint down the long corridor.

Me, I am more of a casual type myself!

 Pretty flowers at a market

On a canal cruise. After a few trips to Amsterdam, I finally decided to go on one.

What strange people you see in Amsterdam!

Another car for Boet to pose with

A window! Funky!

 A wall! Fascinating!!!

A bike against a wall!! Incredible!!!!

Cows on a roof! I'm speechless!!!!

Yay, international jetsetter Alison popped in for the evening from Rotterdam to say hi :o) Yeah yeah yeah! What a party animal she is, and she knew Amsterdam well to take us strolling off the beaten track in the evening.

Boet toasts Dad's health with a Goude Carolus.

 Bridge at night

Really cool geocache, where I met a German geocacher and we traded travel bugs.

 tricky to ride

Yum yum yum, bitte balle!! Even tastier than I remember, we got through quite a few.
