Annecy

After Amsterdam, Boet and I went to stay with  Boet's friend Barry in Geneva for 3 days. Barry was a great tour guise, and took us all over the place - thanks Barry!
First up we popped over to France to Annecy. I had often driven past on a coach on the way to go skiing, but had no idea how lovely it was inside.

The centre of the town is based around the river which runs off the lake, so it has a lovely peaceful watery vibe.

 Hello guvnor!

 Love the symmetric mini-waterfalls

The old prison, if my memory serves me correctly

Trying on some waterproof headwear - tres elegant!

Say hello to my porky friend!

At the market - France sure has some smelly cheeses. Naturally Boet bought la grande fromage, and we were doomed to eat it every day for breakfast to try and minimise the smell in poor Barry's fridge.

 Wow, those are big nougats!

 Woof woof, sausage time!

 Market on the bridge.

Hang on, are we in France or Mexico?
