Ghent

Alison and I went to Ghent for the day and we got to meet up with dear Marie.
Ghent was a really lovely city with some stunning buildings, I give it a two thumbs up!

Ok, so the above is not in Ghent, its the train station in Antwerp, which we saw on the way to Ghent - an amazing building

We went up to the top of the catherdral tower, for some fantastic views over the city, and to get a close up of the carrillon bells - most impressive they were!

All of the wind turbines in the distance looked pretty cool

I love going down tiny twisting stairways!

We also did a riverboat trip for some water level views of the city, but turns out we had already walked most of the route the boat took.

 Ghent castle

This poor building looks like it has such big sad eyes.

The facade of the assembly of Guilds, or something along those lines
