Fort William - Troon

Alas, all good things must come to an end, so we had to say a teary farewell to the highlands, and set off back to Troon, Glasgow and London. Luckily we did not need to do much walking after our hard days trevails!

These haggises don't look very tasty!

Loch Linnhe, on which Fort Willliam is situated.

Driving back through Glencoe - glad we did the whole valley, as I only got to see some of it on my last trip.

Can't quite recall where this was, but lovely views

Interesting tree known as the Rannoch Rowan. Apart from the fact that it’s growing out of a boulder, it’s also quite distinctive for being one of the few trees growing in this exposed landscape. Apparently the reason for the trees incredible feat of survival is its position - unreachable by grazing sheep and deer.

Pulpit Rock - a great looking place to camp, if you don't mind being midge dinner!

On the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, Scotlands largest freshwater loch.

Have a listen to this fine rendition of Loch Lomond, by the fine Scottish band, Runrig.

Unfortunately, wading in the water, I saw more broken bottles in very dangerous poses in one small space than ever seen before! I have thus changed the name to "the bloody bloody banks of Loch Lomond"

Last jump of the trip, back in Troon.
Thanks Bats for your kind invite, and all the driving on this great trip!
