The 3 peaks challenge is to hike up the highest mountain in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours. The chap who organised the caching event was doing them all, crazy guy!
Path going up. In the early 20th century, some guys managed to drive an old fashioned model T ford right up the mountain, and I'm sure the paths were not so hot then! As a side fact, when Fords first came out, they were available in about 3 or 4 colours, none of them black. The black version was only released a few years later!
There is an annual race up and down the mountain. The record is 85 minutes! The fools!
I'd be tooo embarrased to telll how long it took us!
Hmm, a loch halfway up the mountain! Who would have guessed it!
Beacons to guide the way in poor weather.
Playing in the snow
Snow jump!
Alas, the only thing I had to ski with was my friction free jacket.
Its pretty rocky up top
Viva South African mountaineers!

The highest dogs in the UK! These dogs were consummate professionals in their posing, while everyone on the mountain rushed to get photos of them!
Did you know there are grizzly bears on Ben nevis?
Geocachers at the top! 2 of the crowd had bought their radio broadcasting arial up, so they could broadcast their show from the toop of the mountain.
We also had a BBC cameraman, who had set his camera up on the top of a roof at the old weather station, and it rotates once in 1 hour. This is for a show called Munroscapes on the BBC website. Perhaps we'll be in it! A munro is any Scottish mountain over 3000 feet high, named after some Scotttish geezer. There are about 280 Munros in Scotland.
So far the chap has been up 28 munros to film the view. Nice work if you can get it!
We'll end the post here at the top, as one doesn't like to think back on the suffering of walking down!
