Moroccan Trip Day 1

Well, let me get back to my Morroccan photos, after that break!
As you recall, I spend 3 days in Marrakesh with Dora. Dora then had to go back to London, so I went on a 3 day tour to see some more of the country.

First up was the Atlas mountains, a nice little drive with some pleasant scenery, and some great crystals to be found!

Note the camoflague pants!

I liked this photo with the movement of the trees in front.

A local berber.

We stopped off to visit the Casa Ait Ben Hadou. A really interesting place!

Crossing the river

The Casa is near Ourzazat (excuse the spelling!), which is a big Hollywood movie Mecca. A fair bit of Gladiator was filmed here. This was appparently Russell Crowe's prison when he was captured in Africa.

Local kids, after some baksheesh

I sure loved the old style architecture here, and the bright clothes look great against the browns.

In Ourzazat itself.

Alexandra stops for some lunch. The foood is good, but you generally only have a choice between cous-cous and tagine. I always thought tagine had cous cous in it, but it seems I was wrong.
Some more mountain scenery on the way to our 1st night in Dades Gorge
