Renee's farewell party - alas, Renee has moved back to America, which is sad indeed, she will be missed on our hiking trips! She seems to have changed her hair colour for the trip!
On a geocaching trip with Renee. This was really cool, we were sitting having a picnic, when we were surrounded by about 40 goslings all after a nibble of bread, as well as some tough looking parents. Awwww cute!!
On another geocaching trip with Guendolina in the same area - Rickmansworth is really nice, and boy do they have the fanciest golf clubhouse I have ever seen. Alas, no photos of it though.
Awwww more cute ducklings. Further up the river, one tiny duckling was being beaten up by what I guess was its mom. She was trying to drown the poor blighter by shoving it underwater. The duckling managed to escape and went upstream, only for another duck to start trying to drown it. No idea what the poor thing did to deserve that, but it seemed to escape the 2nd duck, and was last seen heading off by itself on the far side of the river - hope it survived :o(
Nice place to live
On a barge
hmmm, why does this house have a crocodile in the front garden?
And why does the croc have a head and an arm to chew on ?
2 years after the olympics, I thought I better go check out the olympic park. While it might look lovely in this photo, I was slightly disappointed, it just ranked as an OK to me.
The whatyoumacallit Orbit at the olympic park. We didn't really fancy forking out £15 to go up, seemed a bit of a swizz.
The swimming center - a pretty impressive looking building
And some funky patterns to finish off.
