My first hike was up Mount Feldberge, I beleive the highest mountain in Southern Germany. As it was mostly drizzly and misty, I don't have much in the way of spectacular photos, but here are some mediocre ones for you instead.
They seem to like starting hikes in the area off with these grand stonhenge entrances
At the top of the mountain there are spectacular views over the Alps - However, this was about the extent of the view I got!
Popping in to escape the wind and rain at a chalet near the top - that was one well earned hot chocolate!
Spooky trees!
dropping a bit further down and going around the mountain, the mist cleared a bit, and I got some decent views over the mottled forest at last.
Old school skis on another chalet - I beleive the worlds first ski lift is somewhere in the area.
Funky riverine section
Near the end of the hike was a cute little very circular lake in a crater like valley. Pity it was so chilly as a refrshing dip would have been nice. After this it was a leg wobbbling climb back to the top and then off home to dry off - all in all, a winning day out!
